Austria and open exhaust without db killer

no thx, i have no arab girlfriend at the moment  and i will never have one although i’ve been offered one when i was in sahara desert some 24 years ago …

hey znedek!

i can only speak for my area:
in my area (around zell am see, near großglockner), you will not have a problem with your exhaust, unless you get very very unlucky.
i´m riding for 10 years now, and i have never had a problem with my exhaust, my small mirrors, indicators or anything else. police in my area mainly look out if you are too fast, or EXTREMELY loud.

especially in vienna, i guess things are different - i also had some troubles there, a couple of years ago with the famous „prüfbus“, as mentioned above. :rage:

as i ride the grossglocknerstrasse about 2 times a week (because i live 10km away from it, and i have a season ticket), i can say there is no police up there as far as i know.
temperatures should also be ok, especially on this weekend.
i was up there 2 days ago and it was a cloudy day and it had about 6 to 7 degrees in the early evening (6:30pm). this weekend the temperatures should be about 10-15 degrees or more, so no worries there.

if you ride the grossglockner i highly recommend to ride it after 5pm, because all the busses and caravans are gone then and you can go „a little bit faster“, if you want.
you also can go up there durign the day, and then again in the evening because the ticket is valid for the whole day. you really should do that if you have the chance.
the goßglockner is really no fun when you´re stuck behind busses & caravans.

o lord, grossglockner behind busses and caravans … i’ve been on that street a few weeks ago and there was no traffic so it was really nice. but following caravans and busses would be hell up there. no real opportunities to overtake …

…so you shouldn´t go to:
neck
cold-kitchen
hell-vally
ox-saddle
anna-mountain
Mary-cell
wild-alps
and if you see the white check-bus …turn around…and drive to an other direction…
